Laini Taylor

I’m not sure how I stumbled upon this author. I think I found Daughter of Smoke & Bone at the Broomfield Public Library.

Slightly intrigued, I picked it up, and I got sucked in. I loved that it started in Prague, one of my favorite cities. Soon, I checked out the remaining two books in the series, Days of Blood & Starlight, and Dreams of Gods & Monsters.

Then, I went on to read almost everything else she’s written.

The Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy is probably my favorite.

I also really liked Night of Cake & Puppets, which features two of the characters from the trilogy.

Strange the Dreamer and Muse of Nightmares are both excellent.

I highly recommend Laini Taylor’s books. The worlds she creates are inspiring. Her stories are fascinating. She’s one of my heroes.
