Sometimes, I consider working on a creative project and feel completely stuck. I don’t know what to do next. I don’t know how to move forward.
When this happens, I often try to learn something new to get unstuck.
I don’t have an annual subscription to Masterclass and Maestro because I prioritize learning each week. I would love to spend more time on these platforms. But that’s not why I think it’s a good investment.
It’s a good investment because these classes help to inspire me when I’m stuck.
Getting stuck is part of the creative process. Getting unstuck is a superpower.
We all have our doubts. Is this project even worth doing? Why am I wasting my time on this? How can I make it better? Do I deserve another chance?
And we all have multiple priorities in our lives.
While each person has different ways of getting unstuck, learning is essential to my process.
If you haven’t tried it, I recommend learning more about the artists who inspire you. You can learn a lot for free. You may be able to learn more by taking online classes.
The worst-case scenario is that you waste some time. We all waste time, so I don’t see this as a problem.
If learning helps you to move forward in realizing your dreams, it’s time well spent!
