Blog Posts or Project Work?

There are only so many hours in the day.

I wish I could write a blog post each day AND do significant project work each day.

Alas, that’s not always possible with my current life priorities. So, I have to choose. When I’m feeling at least somewhat inspired, I usually choose to do project work.

Although many of my projects never see the light of day, I love the process of contributing to long-term projects. I don’t always believe that my projects are going to succeed at the level I might desire. And it doesn’t matter.

There is something magical in dreaming big. Small wins are great. But honestly, I crave how it feels to make the big wins happen.

Sure, big wins can be broken down into small steps.

I guess I would rather take a small step toward a big win than an isolated small step.

Do I have a big overall goal for my blog? Not really. I mostly write these blog posts for practice.

My big projects include writing screenplays, writing books, directing movies, giving presentations, and more. That’s why I’m OK with not writing a blog post each day.

If you see gaps, rest assured that I’m probably busy doing more significant project work!
