Firearms and Explosions

While eating dinner at Mi Mexico in Ouray, I overheard a conversation happening at a long table next to me. At least ten men were sharing their adventures blowing stuff to smithereens.

No, they were not terrorists.

They were movie makers. Or at least they were responsible for making war scenes in movies look good. It was nice to hear others talk about the challenges and rewards of just one aspect of creating movies.

As soon as I saw them, I knew that we were here for the same reason. We wanted to eat a nice dinner in a beautiful location before attending the 51st Annual Telluride Film Festival.

Ouray is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. I’m glad I got to spend the evening walking around town.
