People do not have the same priorities.
This is a good thing.
Today, early in the morning, I got a text from my son reminding me to celebrate Star Wars Day. This meant the world to me!
May the 4th be with you!
Later in the day, I took my daughter to visit other family members. For them, this was Kentucky Derby Day. We watched coverage of the event before the horse race began.
While I have fond memories of a Kentucky Derby poster in the house where I lived as a kid, I have never put this event before Star Wars.
Star Wars was a cultural phenomenon that hit me hard.
And it keeps on hitting! The Kentucky Derby has more to do with my parents. There’s nothing wrong with that!
While I know that a horse from Colorado participated in the Kentucky Derby, I don’t really care who won or lost the race.
On the other hand, I care a lot about whether The Acolyte is going to be worth watching!
