After the events of 9/11/2001, I wanted to do something creative that might be helpful to others. I wrote a song called Say a Prayer for the Living. Karilyn and I got a group of people together to create a music video that also gave people a chance to share their thoughts and feelings.
I’m as proud of this work today as when we completed it.
I want to give thanks to Clyde Sacks, who suggested an update to the lyrics that improved the song. In the last verse, instead of “Memories haunt the living,” we went with his suggestion, “Memories heal the living.”
A few years back, I learned to play the song again, and I recorded the version below.
