I remember a time when people wanted to come to America. Maybe they still do.
The American Dream inspired millions of people. Anyone could make it here! And they did.
Somehow, this idea seems so quaint now. But in 1980, I bought it hook, line, and sinker when I saw The Jazz Singer.
If nobody could write this song today, I’m glad to remember the time when that was possible.
