I’m not happy about the 2024 Presidential Election results.
When Trump won in 2016, it was easy to think of his victory as a fluke. It was easy to think that many people just didn’t like Hillary Clinton.
His win in 2024 is more disturbing. It indicates that a large number of people endorse his bad behavior. If we happen to feel disenfranchised, it’s okay to lie, cheat, lash out, and promote hatred.
In this election, fear won out over hope.
I get it. I understand some of the reasons why people are upset and struggling. I understand why some people may feel safer with a bully in charge.
Understanding what happened doesn’t mean I like it.
