Some men have a larger impact than others on the genetic material of the human race. A single woman can only have so many kids (say 20). A single man can have MANY more kids (say over five thousand).

Brigham Young had 56 children by 16 of his 55 wives. By 2016, Young was estimated to have over 30,000 descendants!
Genghis Khan may have over 16 million descendants!
With modern technology, sperm donors can also be biological fathers to a large number of kids. However, many more people are alive today than when Genghis Khan lived.
