It’s good to have options.
I was going to sing and play a song for this blog post, but I wasn’t ready.
Now, I could have skipped writing a blog post today and spent the time practicing this song.
I don’t think I’m too far off from being mostly ready.
Instead, let’s see if there’s another option!
People talk about going ALL IN. Something is inspiring about this notion. When the stars align, it can be magical. Superstars make it because they have no other choice.
Of course, everyone always has choices.
Just because you tell yourself you have no other choice doesn’t make it real. We only hear the stories of the people who make it.
There may have been thousands of other people who wanted to be superstars and didn’t get there. We don’t hear their stories. They may have told themselves that being a superstar was their only option. But that’s not enough to actually become a superstar!
So, embrace the idea that you do have options. It’s not a bad idea to develop contingency plans. Mitigating risk is a worthwhile endeavor.
It’s good to know what you want. And it’s even better to recognize that you have options.
