Sometimes, we like the output of a creative individual more than their personal views and actions. I’ve never met Orson Scott Card in person. If I did, I would want to talk to him mostly about science fiction.
While I don’t like that Card supports laws against homosexual activity and same-sex marriage, I love that he’s inspired me to read lots of science fiction. Because he’s an excellent storyteller, he remains one of my heroes.

I’ve enjoyed reading several of his other books too.
Before today, I did not know Brigham Young was Card’s great-great-grandfather. I’m also surprised to learn that Brigham Young has over 30,000 descendants! A topic for another day is how some individuals throughout history have far more descendants than others.
Back to Orson Scott Card, I like the movie adaptation of Ender’s Game. I would like to see more movies based on his books.
