Tonight, I ordered food to go from the bartender at a fancy restaurant. His grey beard was a least four inches long while his short hair was not even a quarter-inch long.
He worked with effortless efficiency. He engaged everyone with respectful enthusiasm. And you could just tell that he was having fun.
When I gave him my order, he immediately placed it and asked if I wanted a drink. I said I would take a water, and he placed it in front of me almost before I got the words out.
He prepared a steady stream of drinks for the waitress while holding multiple conversations with patrons and staff members.
He was a man in his element.
You could tell that everyone working there respected him. And the patrons enjoyed interacting with him.
While great customer service is rare, I very much appreciate it when I see it!
