Last night, I watched Kamala Harris give her acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
I’m impressed. She knows how to face Trump, and she’s the kind of leader I want in the White House. While I would have voted for anyone over Trump, I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to vote for Kamala Harris.
She represents so many things I value in a leader. She knows how to listen, she cares about everyday people, she works to improve their lives, she fights against injustice, and she inspires others in a way that eludes Biden.
I’m excited that the 2024 race is no longer between two old white men. I look forward to seeing a Harris vs. Trump debate.
While I know that a lot can happen between now and November, I am more hopeful about national politics than I have been most of this year.
For anyone who missed it, here’s the complete version of her acceptance speech.
