You know what I love? I LOVE that George Orwell had to write “A Clergyman’s Daughter” (1935) BEFORE he wrote Animal Farm (1945) or 1984 (1949).
Artists EVOLVE.
They don’t start out knowing everything. They don’t start out doing the work that they will eventually be remembered for.
They start out writing novels that are not quite so well known.
They start out with YEARS of PRACTICE. In the case of the Beatles, they started with YEARS of performing COVER SONGS.
It takes TIME to REACH the DEPTHS.
It takes TIME for artists to GROW. We should ADMIRE artists who are GROWING. It’s too easy to admire artists who have already MADE IT.
