My sister got me interested in Counting Crows.
While I don’t know much about the band, I still love their debut album, August and Everything After, which includes the following songs.
One day last week, I found myself thinking about them, so I listened to each of these songs again. I also listened to a couple of my other favorites.
I was reminded of an assignment from one of my high school English classes. Mrs. Peterson asked each student to select a song and present the lyrics to the class.
Because lyrics are poetry. You can identify metaphors, similes, rhyme schemes, and more in song lyrics.
I don’t remember which song I chose. I do remember the song my friend Arthur chose.
He selected No One Is To Blame, by Howard Jones, a great choice!
I love listening to songs with meaningful lyrics.
