Putting in the Time

We admire the lone cowboy who rides in to save the day.

We celebrate the “overnight hero” who comes out of nowhere.

We often search for a quick path to success.

Here’s the reality. That lone cowboy spent many years getting to the point where he could save the day. That “overnight hero” didn’t come out of nowhere.

Anything worth doing takes time.

I’m all about taking courses, working with mentors, and doing things to reduce the amount of time stuff takes. But you’re never going to reduce the time to a single day!

We need to appreciate the journey.

There are many days when it feels like we’re not making progress. Sometimes, it even feels like we’re going backward.

That’s just how it goes.

So, here’s to the travelers who value the journeys they take!

You can be one too.
